I looked back at Igeagis, who was slumped on the wooden chair he was tied to; fast asleep. It's already been at least an hour since my clan mates and I defeated the high wizard, but even after all that time he still hasn't stir yet. Last time he slept, it lasted for a week tops. If he's going to wake up next week again, I'm going to kill him.

We were inside my room if you were wondering. Astor was sleeping as well, curled up beneath my quilt in his cat form. My partner's black tipped ears and tail were the only parts of his body that were visible as they poked out from the quilt. It was quite cute in my opinion. My heightened hearing could hear John and Damon downstairs watching TV or something similar, and Kyra and Jay we're probably fixing up dinner already by the sound of the running faucet and boiling of water.

I walked towards my window and looked out towards the darkening horizon. The sun's last rays of light spilled over the sky and filtered into my room. I closed my eyes and sighed; feeling it's warmth before it completely disappeared behind the large forest canopy.

Suddenly I heard a soft groan behind me followed by the shifting of feet and rope. If I knew better, Astor doesn't sound like that. Even if my partner does snore once in a while. A soft smile curled up my lips.

"Finally you're awake!" I exclaimed at the awakening wizard behind me. "How are you feeling?"

I turned around and met his sleepy but alert gaze. Our eyes locked with each other with his dark honey eyes staring into my liquid silver. Suddenly I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach as his eyes grew wide and I felt pure anger engulf his aura. Oh boy...

"You?" he asked in a low tone before it gained volume. "YOU? YOU?!"

"What about me?" I asked trying not to look a little overwhelmed and kept a calm composure, which was quite challenging as the wizard's strong aura almost made me feel like I was choking but I automatically matched the strength of my aura to his, cancelling its affects. I breathed in deeply. I guess I nearly forgot what it was like being in a presence of a wizard, not to mention an irritated high wizard like Igeagis.

"You're Rhami!" Igeagis yelled angrily which seemed to have awakened the slumbering mind of Astor. "You're that traitorous wench that fought for the Mors Mortis!"

My partner's head poked out from my blanket and glanced from me to Igeagis. His amber eyes showing the hint of drowsiness before he blinked it away. He expertly squeezed out of the large mound of clothe, trying not to change the shape of the blanket and sat on my bed with his focus on Igeagis, who was too busy being angry at me to notice my furry friend. I frowned.

{This was going to be a long night,} I thought as I detected the faint of footsteps in the hallway, which I ignored.

"Not only that," the tied wizard continued clenching his fists resting at his sides along with his eyes, which burned in his anger. "But you unmercifully caused the deaths of countless civilians and the fall of thousands of guilds with a single arrow."

"Oh gee, thanks for reminding me," I said sarcastically rolling my eyes as I crossed my arms. I was actually temped to correct him but I pushed the thought away. "But what's your point wizard?"

"My point is," he said lowering his voice. "Why didn't you fight against them with us, instead of following their orders like the cowardly dog you are? We could've had a chance."

I felt my anger boil inside me as I grinded my teeth tightly together, but I also felt partly surprised. The last sentence almost sounded... sad, which was odd but I dared not to show my slight confusion on my face. Astor's growing irritation started to show on his aura. I actually half expected for him to unsheathe his claws and tell him otherwise as he leaps onto Igeagis, but he kept his composure.

"You really think that wouldn't have turned against them if I was given the chance?" I said mentally stopping myself from screaming at Igeagis. "You think that I actually liked to fight for their dark quest of total domination? That I wanted to be used as a tool of war?! You think I fought for those lies of grand wealth or power like most of those who sided with the Mors Mortis?"

At each word that left my lips, my hold over my fury was slowly breaking. It was only a matter of time...

"Of course!" Igeagis exclaimed with a hint of curiosity shining in his eyes. He was probably wondering why I said it, which annoyed me. "What else could it be, if not gold or even power?"

I felt taken back. Was he really serious? Did he actually just say that?! Finally I couldn't hold my anger back any longer as I balled my fists and started to shiver.

"I can't actually believe you fell for those petty excuses!" I yelled, releasing my bottled fury as I balled my fists. It felt good. "But I guess you were too busy to look over each possibility or even to remember her..."

"What? What do you mean?" he asked. It seems it was his turn to feel confused. "What did I miss?"

"You really forgot about Gina? She was the real reason that I joined Mors Mortis in the first place and also enabled them to take on the Elite Guilds. Didn't anyone ever wonder notice why none of our fighters ever seemed to decrease no matter how much you stab or burn them?"

Igeagis fell silent. His honey eyes grew wide in horror and his fists loosened. Well, that's weird reaction.

"Well I'm sorry to tell you this," Igeagis said in a sorrowful voice as he avoided my gaze. "But it was all in vain."

"What do you mean?" I forced myself to ask. I had a feeling I was about to regret asking that question in the next few seconds.

"She's... dead."

And at that moment, with those words, my anger disappeared, replaced by shock. I felt a lump form in my throat. I just stood there; frozen like a statue with my eyes starting to sting as I kept them wide open. This was too similar with the moment of when I was forced to choose between my friend's life and my own freedom, just too similar...

"What? How?!" I managed to ask after a while.

"She was the one that helped me escape the Praetorian's Fortress before your leader claimed ownership of my guild," he replied slowly still evading my gaze. "Gina managed to nurse me back to health in the forest for a while. That is... before we were found by the Hocinbras sent by your leader to hunt us down. Cornered; she teleported me away somewhere, but unfortunately it was here."

"What happened to her?!" I screamed, grabbing his collar and pulled him closer to my face. "Tell me!"

"You probably know the answer to that question," he simply retorted.

"No," I muttered quietly doubting his words. I released my grip on his collar and retreated back to the window; facing the darkness outside as I placed my left hand on the cold, smooth window. "But we made a deal; he promised to leave her be after everything was finished!"

"But now she's dead," Igeagis roared at me. "All because of you!"

Suddenly, my fury returned back to me as I turned on my heel and grabbed an arrow from my bow. I didn't know what I was about to do but all I knew that my anger was the one fuelling it. Igeagis seemed to have realized what was about to happen and struggled against the rope holding him down. Why wasn't he using his magic?

I raised my arrow high above my head and aimed for Igeagis. I willed myself to let my arm fall and get it over and done with. It should be easy right? I did kill a lot of people in the war, this should be simple.

I looked at Igeagis who was bowed down with his eyes tightly shut. I sighed and swung down my arm; slicing the wizards bonds. He quickly opened his eyes gawking at me feeling speechless as I walked towards the window and opened it. The cold air outside blew into my room. I inhaled deeply before notching the same arrow on my bow and aimed it high and far.

"Teleport," I muttered before letting it fly. Feeling numb all over, I dropped both my quiver and bow and cocked my head to the side. "You're free to do anything you want Igeagis."

"Why?" he asked bewildered at my actions slowly getting up from the chair and let the remaining rope fall to the floor.

And with that I was gone. Leaving them in utter silence.
Surprised? So am I, well not really. I mean I AM the writer XD
anways, what happened to Rhami? Where did she gooooooo?! So many questions...

Fun fact: My friend, Crank and I RPed the scene after this. All I can say is that Iggy was too close to being brutally beat up by a certain angry big "brother" and a wolf
